Single mother Maria falls from the clouds when the police come: She does not believe for a second that her son, Matis could have killed the pretty Lea from next door. Since this film was illegal when it was made, no one involved is credited. Many have claimed that the Jewish film producer Bernard Natan (1886-1942), who was murdered by the Nazis in Auschwitz, both directed this film and acted in it, but that theory has been debunked in the documentary Natan (Paul Duane & David Cairns: 2013) and several articles, including this one here by David Cairns: link .
